Sweet Fried Pumpkin

Something different to try as a vegetable course, with its unique taste. A great vegetarian dish as well.

1 pumpkin
1 oz of butter
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon power
2 tbsp rice wine


Wash the surface of the pumpkin. If the skin is very thick, cut a thin layer of skin off. If it is thin leave it alone. Cut the pumpkin in half, and clean out the middle with the seeds. Then cut the pumpkin into strips. Get a frying pan, with low heat, and add the butter. Add the pumpkin to the pan; add the cinnamon and the rice wine. When the pumpkin starts to get soft add the brown sugar, and stir.

Cooking Tip

If you want a little spice, you could add a chili pepper to this recipe. This would go nicely with green tea, or your favorite white wine.
