Chickpeas with Chard

A great dish with a lot of variety and a lot of taste.

9 oz cooked chickpeas
1 bunch of swiss chard
2 tomatoes
1 onion
3 cloves of garlic
2 tbsp tomato paste
5.5 oz bacon
0.5 cup chicken broth


Clean and chop the onion, garlic, tomato, and chard. Chop the bacon. Get a pan, add oil, and fry the onion and the bacon. Then add the tomatoes, garlic and tomato paste. Then add the chickpeas and chicken broth. Chop the chard and add to the pan. Bring the temperature to a high heat for 2 minutes, and then bring it to a medium heat. Add a pinch of salt, and pepper. Then cover for 10 to 15 minutes, and serve when cooked.

Cooking Tip

Add a dry white wine to your table such as Pinot Grigio.
